Drug Uses
Desyrel is used for treatment of depression. It may also be used for relief of an anxiety disorder (e.g., sleeplessness, tension), chronical pain. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Desyrel as ordered by your doctor. Use Desyrel after a meal or light snack. It may take 1 to 4 weeks for Desyrel to work. Do not stop taking Desyrel without consulting with your physician.
Additional Information
Desyrel can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Desyrel is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Desyrel with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. Desyrel should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than advised by your physician.
